The Model 530 is basically the same tractor as the Model 520, but the sheet metal has been revised. Notice that the design of the hood and grill have been simplified and the green horizontal element that can be seen on the Model 520 has been removed. Notice also that fenders are standard equipment and the headlights are built into them.
This John Deere 530 belongs to George Willard of Orange, Massachusetts. It is seen here in the TRACTOR PARADE at the Central Massachusetts Steam, Gas & Machinery Association show.
The 530 has a convertable front pedestal and was available in various configurations, shown at the right, like the Model 50 and the Model 520. Neither the 50, the 520 nor the 530 were ever available as a "Standard" tractor. The 530 is very similar in appearance to the 630 except that it is smaller. Look HERE to see a way to tell for sure.
