The Third Number Series

All about tractors, PAY ATTENTION!      I am going to tell you a little bit about the last John Deere series of two-cylinder tractors.. Below, you'll find short descriptions of the tractors in the "Third Number Series", sometimes known as the "30" series . The biggest visible difference between this entire series and its predecessor was the new styling of the sheet metal and the slant steering. All of the tractors in the series, except for the 435, were produced from 1958 to 1960.

MODEL 330
The 330 replaced the Model 320. It didn't cost very much less than the 430, so most people who needed a utility tractor bought a 430 instead. The 330 became one of the rarest of the later two-cylinder tractors.
MODEL 430
The 430 replaced the Model 420. The 430C was the crawler version of the 430
MODEL 530
The 530 was the successor to the Model 520. New style fenders were introduced on the "30" series.
MODEL 630
The 630 replaced the Model 620.
MODEL 730
The 730 replaced the Model 720. It was also available with a diesel engine.
MODEL 830
The 830 replaced the 820. It was a diesel standard-tread tractor.
MODEL 435
The 435 was essentially a 430 tractor with a two-cylinder two-cycle General Motors diesel engine. It was made from 1959 to 1960. (It doesn't sound like a Johnny Popper and is not considered to BE one).
