Just like the 60 and the 50, shown here, It is quite obvious that the John Deere 630 is bigger than the John Deere 530. What if you came across just ONE of them with no decals on it? With no way to judge relative size, how would you tell which one it is?
The same is true of the difference between the similar tractors of the other series - the 60 and the 50, and also between the 620 and the 520. From a distance how would you tell which ONE you are looking at? |
The belt pulley on the 50, 520 and 530 is smaller than the belt pulley on the 60, 620 and 630. But once again, looking at ONE tractor - smaller than WHAT??

The pulley on the 60, 620 and 630 IS quite a bit larger in diameter than its width. It measures 12 1/2" in diameter by 7 1/2". If you can't measure it, look at the cover. It is flat. What if the cover is GONE? Notice that the adjusting bolts DO NOT protrude beyond the width of the belt face. A flat cover will cover them. |
