Hi Everybody, It's hard to believe that they have come up with a scam where they can get money out of you if you are SELLING a tractor instead of BUYING one. What they do is, they express an interest in your ad, and they want to buy your item even though it seems they know very little about what you are selling. They claim they have someone in the US mail who owes them money and he will send you a worthless money order for considerably more than you are asking and you are supposed to mail them the difference, then you're left holding the bag. The latest initial contact that I have seen from a scammer, looks like this: |
Dear Seller, i am mailing you because i saw your advert on internet
that you want to sell your ( your advertised item ) i am interested in buying it and i want you to tell me
the actual price you are willing to sell it.i want you to tell me
your last offer because i am realy interedted in buying it.i will not
be happy if you sell it to any other person,so i want you to asure me
that you will not sell it to eny other person except me. firstly i
will like to know the present condition of it and i will also like
yopu to tell me the price. i will to let you know that i will paying
with a check, and this check will be in us currency. secondly,i want
you to know that i will take care of the shipping, i will arrange for
the shipping by myself.ok. so i want you to give me your name, your
sddredd, your phone numner, when you send all these i requied, the
check will be sent as quickly as possible. hope to hearing from you.

The next contact you get from them will explain how THEY end up getting money from YOU... These emails can come from ANY country, not just from Africa.
Please look at another example of this, right here. The original Nigerian scams come in the email from the son of some deposed oil minister or someone who claims he wants you to share $23 million that his deceased father has on deposit in some offshore bank somewhere or other. If you'd like to read one that came to ME, just click right here. I'm sure they have more than ONE scheme, so if you see ANYTHING fishy.. DON'T fall for it.
And YOU... the scammer.... if you are reading this... yes YOU !!! I'd like you to get in touch with ME because I have this great old bridge in Brooklyn that I can give you a real GOOD deal on.......
