Wherever you FIND one!!The best place to find a tractor is "locally". That way you can LOOK at it before you buy it, and you won't have to pay a phenomenal amount of money to have it shipped to your location. Keep your eyes open! Sometimes tractors can be found just SITTING there with a "FOR SALE" sign on them. Sometimes there is NO sign, but don't be afraid to ASK, anyway. Farm equipment dealers sometimes have antique tractors for sale on their lots. Also, don't overlook the ads on your local "swap shop" newspapers or "want advertisers". If there is a local "farm paper", be sure to check the ads in THAT, too.You can place a free "want ad" right here on Retired Tractors.com. There are other sites on the internet where people place ads selling tractors. Some of them are free, some require membership (to cut down on spam), and some charge a small fee. If any of them DO charge for advertising, it certainly won't cost YOU anything to look. The sites that allow free advertising do it so that there will be something NEW for viewers to look at every day, so that they will keep coming back.
These sites have ads for tractors and other items that are for SALE. You might just find what you are looking for right off the BAT! The only drawback is, it might be way over at the other end of the country!
NOW... If there is a specific brand or model of tractor that YOU are looking for, post a "want ad" on as many sites as you can find. It will increase your exposure on the internet and there will be a greater chance that someone who has what you want will see your ad. |
