Comic Verse - The Clerihew

This explanation of the verse form is from the book "The Ode Less Travelled (Unlocking The Poet Within)" by Stephen Fry...
"The clerihew is named after Edmund Clerihew Bently. The rules state that clerihews be non-metrically written in two couplets, the first of which is to be a proper name, and nothing else."
    Some examples:
Elizabet Barrett
Was kept in a garret.
Her father resented bitterly
When Robert took her to Italy.
Christopher Wren
Said "I am going to dine with some men,
If anyone calls
Say I am designing St. Paul's."
"Metrical clumsiness is very much a desideratum; indeed, it is considered extremely bad form for a clerihew to scan. Properly done, they should tell some biographical truth, obvious or otherwise about their subject."
   So, here are our clerihews:
Carol Tencza
Got influenza.
The onset was unanticipated
Because she previously had been vaccinated.
Gene Tencza
Built a credenza.
Although making a living writing poetry could work,
He decided he better stick to woodwork.
