PIN UP Calendar

     Marilyn Monroe was the ULTIMATE cheesecake model. Almost everyone remembers this shot from the 1955 movie "The Seven Year Itch" where she stands on the grating on the sidewalk and the wind from the ventilator blows her dress up. Well, that photo shoot was done with a wind machine. Now, although it WAS Marilyn Monroe in the movie, not all of the "poster shots" were actually her. You see, when they needed more shots for making posters, Miss Monroe was sick that day. When that happens, they simply use a body double and then paste in the star's face later. It is a little known fact that my grandmother, Melody D'Amour, was the stand-in for Miss Monroe on that photo shoot. This is one of the ACTUAL pictures from my grandmother's scrapbook:

    And guess what ELSE? They found that very same wind machine and they decided to use it on the photo shoot for my calendar this year!!
